Cross-Cultural Differenes and Misunderstandings
This is one of my favourite lessons to teach. It requires little preparation, but is engaging, educational, and fun! In a quite task-based approach, it introduces the concept of cross-cultural differences and misunderstandings and allows students to reflect on their own personal experiences of such. Next, students conduct a role-play acting out a misunderstanding and resolving it, and finally reflecting.
The Environment (A Greener School)
The environment is always a popular topic in my classes. Here are a few lessons I've done throughout the years.
A Greener School (Elementary-Advanced)
This is a very communicative lesson for all levels. It focuses on taking an environmental problem your school has, finding a solution, and then presenting it.
Petition/Letter of Complaint (Low and high alternatives)

This higher level lesson is also a great follow-up to my lesson ‘A Greener School’. It gives students some useful language and organization for a letter of complaint using a model, then has students write their own letter of complaint.
